I work as a dentist, yoga teacher and wellness coach. I’ve spent the last decade immersed in the world of wellness and personal development, and in the world of dentistry and healthcare. It is fully possible to prevent burnout and create a life filled with joy, freedom, and true fulfillment. I am passionate about sharing my wellness journey and empowering others to commit to their well-being so they can live the good life.
A few of the places I’ve called home over the years; New York, Michigan, Texas, and currently Japan! I love to practice yoga, hike, travel the world with my husband, play with my dog in the waves, eat delicious food, read and listen to inspiring content, and connect with like-minded humans. I love living life in a joyful and fulfilling way, brimming with purpose, passion, and play. I am always a yes for experiences that feed my core values of positivity, freedom, adventure, and connection.
After I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2012, the trajectory of my life changed for the better. Since then I have been immersed in the world of yoga, wellness, and personal development. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. These two major parts of my life have given me a unique perspective of being in a high stress environment while also focused on my well-being and personal development. Throughout my educational and professional career, I have been an active leader in organized dentistry, creating programs for environmentally sustainable dentistry, and hosting wellness programs. I believe that community engagement and vulnerable connection between other dentists is key to greater fulfillment and success in this profession.
I know the value of prioritizing my wellness so that I can show up as the best version of myself to serve others and create the biggest impact. Over the years, I’ve developed a toolbox of strategies to help me so that when a challenging season of life throws me off center, I not only survive, I thrive. In the beginning, when I was faced with stress, the process of shifting from surviving to thriving was filled with struggle and anxiety. With time and practice, I have been able to create this shift faster and smoother with more ease and flow. I’ve learned that stress is inevitable in life, but through doing the work, I’ve been able to create a shortcut from chaos to calm. It is fully possible to prevent burnout and create a life filled with joy. My mission is to share this shortcut with others.
